New York-PalPress-Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters in New York that the Israeli and the Palestinian leaderships agreed to resume peace talks as soon as possible with out any preconditions.

For his part, President Mahmoud Abbes said that Israel must respect the Road Map obligations and ceasing settlement activities .

However,  Palestinian sources accompanying President Abbas in New York said that no decision was issued regarding peace talks.
