Jerusalem-PalPress-Israel's Chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi said that Gaza blockade will continue and that no items will be let into Gaza with out Israeli inspection or permission.
He also said that the Israeli soldiers acted as required during raid on Freedom flotilla , pointing out they deserve military tribute.
Ashkenazi made these statements during a lecture which he delivered at a religious school in Kiryat Shmona on Tuesday evening where he spoke about the Freedom flotilla and Gaza anti siege boats.
"Israel has the legal right to prevent the flow of weaponry to Gaza Strip", Ashkenazi said, adding that those who want to deliver medications to Gaza will have to deck at the Israeli port of Ashdod first for inspection and then Israel would decide on the matter.
According to Ashkenazi: Israel should commit to this decision in order to prevent the transfer of Gaza to an Iranian port.
Speaking about the Freedom flotilla massacre , he said :"Preliminary investigations indicate that the Israeli navy soldiers acted in an excellent manner given the circumstances that have arisen".
